When asked what gives me peace, I initially thought of financial independence. However, I soon realized that even with abundant resources, life can be challenging without good health. This shift in perspective led me to focus on Jesus. Knowing He is by my side provides true peace, not the absence of life’s challenges but the reassurance of His presence.

My view of peace has evolved. While I once believed that financial success would bring satisfaction, I found that such peace felt hollow when faced with the struggles of others. The joy of personal success diminishes when I see those around me suffering. Despite working hard for the good things in life, I’ve learned that material achievements don’t offer lasting fulfillment.

Life isn’t just about material possessions, even though they make life easier. True peace comes from finding meaning in life’s uncertainties and the aspects beyond our understanding. I find solace in turning to Jesus, who understands us completely and provides guidance and purpose.

Financial freedom is important but doesn’t guarantee peace. Wealth cannot be carried with us beyond this life, highlighting the mismatch in seeking peace from tangible things. As spiritual beings, reflecting on our spiritual nature leads to true meaning and peace. Jesus promised to give us the Spirit of God, ensuring we’re not left empty-handed. Embracing this promise helps us understand ourselves and our place in the world.
